From the Andes to the Sacred Valley — a journey through the heart of Peru

Simply because it has everything: a fascinating culture, vibrant communities and traditions, extraordinary cuisine and pisco, breathtaking landscapes, and a rich history stretching from the coast across the Andes to the Amazon.

Our 15-day journey through Peru begins in Lima — the ideal gateway to the country’s countless wonders. Often overlooked, the capital reveals a captivating contrast between its colonial heritage and a vibrant contemporary culture, shaped by a culinary scene renowned the world over.

From the bustling streets of Lima, the journey continues south to Arequipa — the “White City”, whose luminous architecture, carved from volcanic sillar stone, reflects both Spanish influence and the powerful presence of the nearby volcanoes. Beyond the city, the landscape opens into dramatic canyons and highland regions, culminating in the Colca Canyon, where condors soar above villages that have preserved centuries-old Andean traditions.

The adventure continues into the highlands and Sacred Valley, where the legacy of the Inca Empire and ancient Andean cultures remains vibrantly alive. On the shores of Lake Titicaca, communities such as the Uros and Taquile maintain their traditional ways of life — their identity, craftsmanship and social structures deeply rooted in a heritage that predates European colonisation. Travelling through the Sacred Valley, you marvel at the ingenuity of the Inca agricultural terraces, explore sacred sites, and connect with Andean communities whose living traditions reveal a profound spiritual harmony with nature. A Pachamama ceremony offers an intimate glimpse into this enduring bond between people and the earth.

No journey through Peru would be complete without a visit to Machu Picchu — an architectural masterpiece of the Inca, set high above the jungle. Here you may choose a short hike along the Inca Trail (6–7 hours) or travel comfortably by train, followed by a guided exploration of the citadel where history, landscape and legend intertwine.

The journey concludes in the historic city of Cusco, before returning to Lima for your international departure.

“Where history, landscape and legend intertwine.”
